Programmer Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develops, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly intricate programs.

• Creates sophisticated test plans to validate the logic of new or modified programs.

• Designs systems and applications to address complex business requirements.

• Prepares comprehensive specifications from which programs are developed and coded.

• Generates relevant documentation for work assignments, including program code and technical documentation.

• Collects data from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements.

• Provides time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and offers recommendations to project managers.

• Assists project staff in addressing moderately complex program issues.

• Collaborates with clients and management to resolve problems and confirm programming requirements within their areas of responsibility.

• Offers technical guidance on complex programming tasks.

• May act as the technical project lead; provides leadership and direction to less experienced team members.

• Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.

• Delivers consulting services in both technical and managerial capacities to management and technical personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of nine years in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehouse development.

• Proficiency in working with Databricks, Python, SQL, and contemporary data engineering practices.

• Experience in developing and supporting Power BI reporting solutions and Tableau dashboard solutions.

• Familiarity with supporting enterprise production environments.

• Experience in creating cloud-based data solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for the design, creation, and testing of programs.

• Effective leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced team members.
