This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Lead the Forest Management Programme Team by providing clear guidance, supervision, and fostering a supportive, high-performance environment.
• Develop and execute outcome-focused work plans that align with organizational strategies.
• Manage budgets effectively and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Oversee project management to guarantee timely, compliant, and budget-aligned delivery across programme initiatives.
• Offer strategic oversight in revising FSC Principles & Criteria and International Generic Indicators.
• Coordinate the development, approval, maintenance, revision, and interpretation of normative requirements for Forest Management.
• Create communication materials, guidance documents, and training resources for certificate holders, certification bodies, and stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on normative processes, including risks, delays, and status updates.
• Collaborate with Country Requirements Programmes.
• Represent FSC in both internal and external forums, contributing to cross-unit coordination as well as competence and accreditation programmes.
• MSc in Forest Management or related disciplines such as Ecology or Natural Resource Management.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in fields such as forest management, certification, natural resource management, multi-stakeholder processes, or programme/project management.
• At least 5 years of experience directly supervising personnel.
• Proven success in project management, encompassing planning, coordination, and delivery.
• Strong skills in document review, evaluation, and management.
• Ability to comprehend and assess complex technical information.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation along with voluntary sustainability schemes is highly desirable.
• Proficient writing, presentation, facilitation, communication, and conflict management skills.
• High levels of accuracy, diligence, proactiveness, and solution-oriented thinking.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, particularly MS Word.
• Ability to analyze data and guide analytics.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or French is an asset.
• Submission of CV in English is required.
• Temporary contract with a duration of 2 years, with the potential for extension based on satisfactory performance.
