This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Function as an embedded PDLC practitioner, demonstrating the framework and assisting cross-functional partners in understanding its purpose and application.
• Mentor engineering and product management team members on PDLC practices by meeting them at their current level rather than adhering strictly to the playbook.
• Establish trust through reliability, commitment, and authentic collaboration, rather than relying on process authority.
• Clearly and frequently convey the benefits of the PDLC to engineering: reduced context-switching, clearer scope handoffs, fewer rebuilds, and improved predictability.
• Collaborate with the VP of PgM to create, document, and enhance processes, templates, stage gate criteria, and governance standards.
• Create and sustain playbooks and documentation that render the PDLC accessible to Product Management and Engineering.
• Transform practical experience into enhancements for the framework.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned programs from Discovery to Grow, including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables at every phase.
• Develop program plans that provide Product Management, Engineering, Design, QA, and Go-to-Market with a unified view of ongoing activities, upcoming tasks, and ownership.
• Anticipate risks and blockers; present well-considered options to the VP before issues escalate.
• Facilitate kick-offs, stage gate reviews, cross-functional synchronizations, and retrospectives to ensure clear outcomes and documented next steps consistently.
• Act as the primary coordination point between Product Management, Engineering, Design, QA, and Go-to-Market for programs within your portfolio.
• Identify and resolve cross-team misalignments and dependency issues before they hinder delivery.
• Maintain precise and current program documentation throughout the entire lifecycle.
• Treat documentation as a fundamental aspect of program quality to ensure programs are reproducible, learnable, and increasingly agent-ready.
• 5-8 years of program management experience in software at the program level across multiple teams.
• Experience with cross-functional programs throughout various phases of a product or software development lifecycle.
• Directly embedded within engineering and/or product management teams, rather than being part of a centralized PMO.
• Involved in or led a process or operating model change.
• Proficiency with Atlassian (Jira/Confluence), Notion, and/or Adobe Workfront.
• Preferred experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.
• **Preferred Experience**
• Familiarity with dual-track agile, Shape Up, OKR-based planning, or similar lean frameworks.
• Knowledge of product management discovery concepts: opportunity mapping, user story mapping, and hypothesis-driven development.
• Experience supporting both product management and engineering within the same organization.
• Background in a high-growth or PE-backed software environment.
• **Skills and Attributes**
• Fosters alignment through credibility and collaboration, not positional authority.
• Understands the rationale behind process steps and can explain them clearly to skeptical teams.
• Breaks down complex initiatives into understandable phases without unnecessary complexity.
• Exhibits genuine curiosity about AI and is already utilizing it.
• Views friction as a source of information, not as a failure.
• Prioritizes outcomes over personal recognition.
• **Education**
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Flexible work environment.
• Discretionary Vacation Bonus.
• Flexible paid time off.
• Paid parental leave.
• Competitive compensation.
• A comprehensive suite of traditional benefits.
• Training and advancement opportunities.
• 401k with company match and immediate vesting.
