This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Ownership of project initiatives
• Comprehending profit and loss for client projects
• Grasping contract requirements and the scope of work
• Safeguarding and enhancing project margins through disciplined execution
• Ensuring accurate forecasting throughout project completion
• Crafting and maintaining strategic account plans for 12–24 months that align with customer capital programs and operational priorities.
• Sustaining executive-level relationships with key stakeholders for National Accounts.
• Facilitating annual strategic planning sessions with customers and internal leadership.
• Aligning Shermco's service capabilities with the long-term infrastructure and reliability needs of customers.
• Coordination of Cross-Functional Programs
• Overseeing execution across all Shermco organizations, branches, and service groups.
• Leading regular internal program coordination meetings.
• Resolving inter-branch operational conflicts and ensuring consistent execution standards.
• Establishing and maintaining standardized reporting structures and communication rhythms across participating branches.
• Financial Oversight
• Monitoring trends in estimate-to-actual performance.
• Identifying early signs of margin erosion or project risk.
• Tracking change order capture rates and financial performance indicators.
• Leading quarterly reviews of financial performance with executive leadership.
• Control of Contracts & Scope
• Interpreting and managing contractual obligations
• Ensuring clarity of scope and enforcing structured change management
• Leading the development and tracking of RFIs
• Preventing unauthorized execution of scope
• Management of Risks
• Developing and maintaining formal project risk registers
• Keeping a Program Risk Register that includes safety risks, margin risks, capacity constraints, contractual risks, and reputational risks.
• Conducting monthly reviews of program risks.
• Escalating significant risks to executive leadership when necessary
• Proactively managing safety, financial, schedule, and resource risks
• Appropriately escalating high-impact risks
• Leading contingency and recovery planning
• Governance of Operations
• Promoting consistent operational standards across the program, including safety compliance, estimating discipline, project controls, and documentation standards.
• Leading program-level lessons learned reviews to enhance future execution.
• Management of Customer Relationships
• Acting as the primary interface for clients
• Maintaining quarterly executive touchpoints with strategic customers.
• Leading Executive Business Reviews (EBRs).
• Owning the resolution of escalated operational or service challenges.
• Monitoring customer satisfaction and service quality metrics.
• Management of Schedules
• Leading project update meetings and executive briefings
• Professionally navigating conflicts while safeguarding Shermco’s interests
• Developing opportunities for repeat business
• Sales, Growth, and Execution
• Leading cross-functional teams, including technicians, engineers, and subcontractors
• Conducting structured project kickoff meetings
• Driving execution quality and minimizing rework
• Ensuring disciplined documentation and turnover standards
• Identifying opportunities to expand Shermco’s services within strategic accounts.
• Ensuring pricing alignment across different regions and branches.
• Participating in the review of large proposals to ensure strategic alignment.
• Preventing uncoordinated pricing or discounting across Shermco regions.
• Supporting capture strategies for large capital projects.
• Reporting to Executives
• Providing clear updates on project performance to senior leadership
• Presenting risk summaries, financial forecasts, and mitigation plans
• Participating in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions
• 5-10 years of experience in program or project management, ideally managing a national account across multiple sites
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical construction, NETA testing, electrical commissioning, engineering services, industrial field services, power systems services, electrical infrastructure, or a related technical field
• Proven financial literacy and ability to interpret financials of projects
• Experience managing or overseeing large-scale programs or projects exceeding $1M
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate operations across multiple sites or branches
• Strong skills in executive communication and stakeholder management
• Robust financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and margin management
• Experience in interpreting contracts and managing change orders
• Proven capability to lead large field teams and multidisciplinary resources
