Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the coordination and execution of programs at a high level across various projects, phases, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with scope, timelines, and anticipated results.

• Develop and uphold project governance, which includes integrated plans, milestone tracking, reporting schedules, and escalation frameworks.

• Manage dependencies, risks, and issues across projects, proactively facilitating resolutions in collaboration with Delivery Managers/Directors and key client stakeholders.

• Assist in engaging senior client and executive stakeholders through clear, structured reporting and communication regarding the program.

• Coordinate teams that are cross-functional and geographically dispersed, ensuring clarity in roles, ownership, and execution priorities.

• Supervise project financials, including forecasting, tracking, and identifying variances across workstreams.

• Promote consistency in delivery practices across projects, contributing to program-level standards, tools, and methodologies.

• Offer guidance and informal mentorship to (Senior) Delivery Managers on complex delivery situations and program coordination.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in delivering complex software or technology programs within a professional services or consulting context.

• Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects with significant interdependencies and complex stakeholder relationships.

• Strong grasp of project governance, delivery frameworks, and risk management across multi-phase engagements.

• Experience in overseeing project financials, including forecasting, tracking, and budget management.

• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with competing priorities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence at all organizational levels.

• Ability to align cross-functional teams and drive execution without direct authority.

• Comprehensive understanding of enterprise software delivery lifecycles; experience in the supply chain domain is a plus.

• Familiarity with program and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Confluence, SharePoint).

• PMP or equivalent certification is advantageous; knowledge of Agile or hybrid delivery models is preferred.

• Willingness to travel as necessary for client engagements.
