Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Provide management support for both current and upcoming Air Force Weather Expeditionary Weather (ExMET) systems, as well as research and development initiatives.

• Assist in the execution of contracts and agreements pertaining to research and development, procurement, and operations and maintenance.

• Deliver independent analysis to facilitate life cycle planning and execution.

• Support efforts of the program Integrated Product Team (IPT), including requirements, management strategies, special studies, and tracking contract compliance.

• Evaluate acquisition policy issues and guidance that influence program timelines.

• Aid in the coordination and integration of IPTs, Long Range Plans, and associated Vision processes.

• Create reports and presentations for IPTs, Functional Managers, and high-level decision-makers.

• Oversee risk analysis, risk monitoring, and documentation utilizing the enterprise risk management tool.

• Provide inputs for management processes and metrics; handle and process requirements; and validate and verify technical proposals and recommended actions.

• Develop and sustain monthly metrics related to cost, schedule, and performance.

• Prepare RFP packages, MIPRs, milestone documentation, and other necessary acquisition program paperwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a citizen of the United States.

• Must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance.

• High School Diploma is required.

• A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).

• Proficient knowledge and experience in applying DoD and Air Force acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and statutory/regulatory requirements.

• Experience managing critical elements of acquisition programs throughout the Acquisition Framework.

• Strong understanding of the Air Force Weather organizational structure, mission, and relationships.

• Experience in effectively communicating both orally and in writing to senior leaders and business partners.

• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience (5 years supporting the DoD), or a Master's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience (5 years supporting the DoD).
