This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Delivers timely and precise metrics regarding schedule and cost performance through the use of Earned Value Management or related methodologies.
• Assists in all baseline development tasks and the creation of charge numbers and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as necessary.
• Updates and modifies programs with and without Earned Value requirements in relevant tools (ERP or Cobra) as needed.
• Analyzes and reports on performance variances against the budget and aids in the formulation of recovery plans when required.
• Evaluates and reports on risks and opportunities related to baseline costs, schedules, and the Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Ensures the timely upkeep of the Project-Activity Structure (Charge Numbers).
• Completes the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process promptly, processes time-phased estimates to complete updates, and supports EAC package preparation for Program Financial Planning and Reporting.
• Develops and monitors the program-level time-phased plan to facilitate an overall program-level perspective on revenue for forecasting, budgeting, and 5-year planning efforts.
• Supplies financial data inputs, conducts analyses, and provides variance narratives for Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
• Ensures prompt invoicing and collection of customer receivables.
• Reviews and communicates the status of program finances, including funding status and the management of funding that may be subject to cancellation.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in applying Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles in daily operations with demonstrated expertise.
• Familiarity with program financial controls within the Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
• Understanding of applicable federal acquisition regulations and standards including CAS, FAR, and DFARS.
• Knowledge of various contract types such as Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive Firm (FPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), and Time & Materials (T&M).
• Awareness of relevant accounting topics, including revenue recognition.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft software applications.
• Strong skills in Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while being detail-oriented.
