This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Promote data-driven decision-making among program staff by implementing best practices and standardized data collection protocols.
• Create and deliver extensive data literacy training programs customized to the needs of program staff.
• Offer continuous coaching and support regarding data tools and analytical methodologies.
• Spearhead cultural change initiatives within the program that emphasize data-informed management.
• Enhance internal capabilities for program teams to access, analyze, and utilize data insights effectively.
• Design and execute comprehensive impact measurement frameworks that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with program leadership to establish key performance indicators across all program areas, ensuring uniform evaluation standards.
• Conduct thorough analyses of program outcomes and effectiveness, generating actionable insights.
• Prepare regular impact reports for internal stakeholders, external partners, and funding organizations.
• Strengthen organizational accountability through robust impact measurement capabilities that showcase tangible results to stakeholders.
• Assist in strategic targeting for outreach and engagement efforts through demographic and geographic data analysis.
• Analyze voter files, membership data, and community data to enhance organizing strategies.
• Improve constituent and community engagement strategies through data-driven methodologies.
• Collaborate with organizing teams to convert data insights into field strategies and resource allocation decisions.
• Assess and recommend targeting tools and methodologies that support base-building goals.
• Provide data capacity building support for community partner organizations within our network.
• Develop standardized templates, tools, and analytical resources for partner utilization.
• Facilitate data sharing and collaborative analysis initiatives throughout the partner network.
• Increase partner capacity to collect, analyze, and leverage data to enhance their organizing and advocacy efforts.
• Create user-friendly data products that assist partner organizations in strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate and suggest program-specific data management tools and platforms.
• Oversee the implementation of new data systems tailored to program requirements.
• Work alongside the technology and data infrastructure team to establish integration between program data systems and institutional data.
• Adhere to and comply with the data security standards and system compatibility established by the data and technology infrastructure team.
• Supervise data governance practices specific to program data, ensuring ethical usage and privacy compliance.
• Manage, mentor, and support the Program Data Team (up to four direct reports).
• Coordinate across program areas to comprehend evolving data needs and establish team priorities.
• Represent program data requirements in organizational discussions and strategic planning.
• Engage in cross-functional initiatives that link data work to programmatic strategy.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with external data partners and the progressive data community.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a data leadership position within progressive organizations, campaigns, or community organizing environments.
• Proven experience in at least two of the following areas: electoral organizing data, membership/base data, program evaluation, or community organizing metrics.
• A demonstrated history of managing staff and building high-performing teams.
• Strong project management abilities with the capacity to coordinate across multiple program areas at once.
• Advanced proficiency with CRMs commonly utilized in organizing contexts (EveryAction, Action Network, NGP VAN, Salesforce, or similar).
• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques as well as data visualization.
• Ability to simplify complex data concepts for non-technical audiences and create user-friendly reporting frameworks.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a background in fostering collaborative relationships across diverse teams.
• Understanding of social justice organizing principles and a commitment to equity-centered data practices.
