Program Coordinator – YSP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Program Director and a group of Young Scholars Program Coordinators.

• Design, plan, execute, and oversee initiatives aimed at preparing students for post-secondary education.

• Inform YSP students and their families about colleges and the college admissions process.

• Create tailored academic plans that align with Ohio State admissions criteria.

• Develop and implement a curriculum for monthly cohort workshops.

• Organize and manage events, field trips, and award ceremonies.

• Maintain regular communication with participating scholars and their parents.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required.

• Direct experience working with limited-income students in urban secondary or post-secondary educational environments.

• Strong understanding of effective strategies for engaging students in metropolitan communities.

• Comprehensive knowledge of current issues and trends impacting pre-K-12 city schools.

• Must successfully complete a Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Federal Bureau of Investigation background checks.
