Professional Online Tutor – SAT/ACT, Academics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Facilitate engaging online tutoring sessions utilizing Revolution Prep's curriculum and resources.

• Instruct students in SAT and ACT test preparation.

• Teach high school mathematics, including up to Algebra II.

• Provide instruction on executive function skills such as organization, planning, time management, and effective study strategies.

• Cover additional subjects according to personal expertise and company requirements.

• Prepare for sessions using materials provided by the company.

• Maintain communication with students and their families regarding academic progress.

• Foster supportive relationships that encourage students to achieve their goals.

• Engage in paid training and continuous professional development.

• Collaborate with Faculty Leaders and fellow tutors to enhance teaching methodologies.

• Fulfill administrative and family communication duties, which make up about 10% of the workload.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• Minimum of 1 year of professional teaching or tutoring experience is required.

• Must be comfortable teaching math up to Algebra II.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary.

• Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and patiently is essential.

• Must be comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and currently reside in the U.S.

• A consistent weekly schedule with a minimum of 38 hours of availability, including evenings and weekends, is required.

• At least 8 hours of availability on weekends is necessary.

• A minimum one-year employment commitment is expected.

• Must have a Mac or PC desktop/laptop.

• Reliable high-speed internet with an Ethernet connection is required.

• At least 4GB of available RAM is necessary.

• A quiet, professional workspace suitable for online instruction is required.

• A 30-minute assessment is required.

• Candidates who advance will undergo a comprehensive background check.

• Experience in SAT/ACT tutoring or test preparation is a plus.

• Expertise in AP STEM subjects is an added advantage.
