This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee all elements of account service plans while cultivating client relationships for professional liability insurance.
• Foster and enhance relationships with current clients.
• Gain insights into their business, offer a consultative approach to managing their professional liability risks, and identify ways to fulfill their needs.
• Develop and manage service plans tailored to each client, assessing their needs and requirements.
• Ensure that the appropriate resources from within the office are engaged with the client.
• Organize and lead internal meetings pertinent to the service plan.
• Organize and facilitate client meetings.
• Supervise and review the creation of marketing submission packages to obtain quotes for new and renewal business.
• Coordinate and oversee the marketing of accounts; negotiate terms and pricing with carriers.
• Delegate the preparation of proposals, enrollment materials, master certificates, loss prevention materials, and guides; review the output of Account Specialists to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Develop and manage the implementation of program communication strategies to drive growth in enrollment for voluntary direct enrollment accounts.
• Oversee the utilization of online processing systems.
• Organize periodic claim review meetings with clients and carrier claim departments (or Lancer Claims Services as applicable).
• Review large loss notices and disclaimers; promptly inform the Producer and CalSurance management of potential issues.
• Examine policies and midterm coverage endorsements for accuracy and alignment with quotes.
• Review the work of Account Specialists, ensuring the precision of all account-level financial records and reporting, including reconciliations, premium invoicing, surplus lines taxes, broker fee obligations, etc.
• Keep management informed about emerging opportunities and risks associated with client accounts.
• Possess a valid California P&C Insurance License.
• Have 15 years of experience in Professional Liability Insurance.
• Hold 7 years of experience in an Account Manager (or similar) role, demonstrating the ability to cultivate and advance client relationships.
• Exhibit strong technical skills, including proficiency with agency management systems.
• Showcase a proven track record of working with large, complex accounts.
• A Bachelor’s degree along with experience in placing or underwriting financial institutions E&O and D&O is required.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
