• Establish and enhance relationships with current clients.
• Gain insight into their business, adopt a consultative method to manage their professional liability risks, and discover ways to better meet their needs.
• Develop and supervise service plans tailored for each client, identifying and understanding their specific needs and requirements.
• Ensure that appropriate resources from within the office are engaged with the client.
• Organize, plan, and lead internal meetings concerning the service plan.
• Organize, plan, and lead meetings with clients.
• Oversee and review the preparation of marketing submission packages to secure quotes for new and renewal business.
• Coordinate and supervise the marketing of accounts; negotiate terms and pricing with carriers.
• Delegate the preparation of proposals, enrollment materials, master certificates, loss prevention materials, and guides; review the work of Account Specialists to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
• Develop and implement program communication strategies to enhance enrollment growth for voluntary direct enrollment accounts.
• Monitor the use of online processing systems.
• Organize and facilitate periodic claim review meetings with clients and the carrier claim department (or Lancer Claims Services as applicable).
• Review large loss notices and disclaimers; promptly bring potential issues to the attention of the Producer and CalSurance management.
• Evaluate policies and midterm coverage endorsements for accuracy and compliance with quotations.
• Assess the work of Account Specialists and ensure the accuracy of all account-level financial records and reporting, including reconciliations, premium invoicing, surplus lines taxes, broker fee obligations, etc.
• Keep management informed of emerging opportunities and risks associated with client accounts.
• Valid California P&C Insurance License.
• 15 years of experience in Professional Liability Insurance.
• 7 years of experience in an Account Manager (or similar) role with a proven ability to cultivate and advance client relationships.
• Strong technical skills, including proficiency with agency management systems.
• Demonstrated success in managing large, complex accounts.
• A Bachelor’s degree along with experience in placing or underwriting financial institutions E&O and D&O is mandatory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
