This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Mentor and coach participants
• Facilitate training and engagement for participants
• Oversee compliance and monitoring
• Represent the program and agency at community outreach events, fairs, conferences, workshops, visits, meetings, and other activities
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients
• Attend and engage in professional development trainings and/or certifications
• Submit monthly reports to the supervisor
• Travel within CCRC’s service area for onsite visits, training, and meetings with child care providers
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred, with at least 24 semester units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education preferred
• Any combination of education and experience that supports successful performance in the role
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in child care settings
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with families of children and/or child care providers
• Experience in facilitating groups independently and/or co-facilitating
• Experience working with adult learners and clients from diverse backgrounds and communities
• Experience with child care populations preferred
• Must hold or be able to obtain or qualify for a Teacher Permit, or demonstrate willingness to be trained/equivalent in units
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
• Ability to converse, read, write, and/or translate in English and Spanish
• Knowledge and understanding of Child Development and standard educational practices
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to coordinate schedules and work independently with minimal supervision
• Capability to complete projects under tight deadlines and adapt to competing demands and changes
• Flexibility to work varied hours as program needs change
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
• Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, follow through, and meet deadlines
• Ability to exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality, and comply with HIPAA and PHI regulations
• Adherence to technological security policies and legal requirements
• Current auto insurance, a valid California Driver’s License, and DMV clearance are necessary for approved drivers
• Willingness to travel for onsite visits, training, and meetings
• Background check is mandatory
• Additional background and health clearances may be required, including Live Scan/DOJ fingerprinting and health clearance
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Child Development or a related field
• Preferred: Five years of experience in child care settings, working with children’s families/providers, and facilitating groups
• Preferred: Hold or be able to obtain or qualify for a Site Supervisor Permit
