This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the development and execution of extensive sourcing strategies for materials that align with the company's strategic objectives and supply chain goals.
• Establish and nurture robust relationships with key suppliers to guarantee the provision of high-quality materials, timely deliveries, and sustainable partnerships.
• Perform regular evaluations of supplier performance, focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Track specific supplier performance metrics related to programs and take proactive measures to address any program or functional issues.
• Comprehend and convey material lead times and inventory risks effectively.
• Coordinate raw material post-processing schedules with external business partners.
• Provide guidance and oversight to Manufacturing Engineering resources involved in production execution, ensuring alignment among material strategy, process capability, and production readiness.
• Promote Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles in collaboration with engineering teams, especially regarding complex electromechanical assemblies.
• Supervise the creation, validation, and lifecycle management of production fixtures, tooling, and testing equipment necessary for the assembly and integration of electromechanical devices.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to formulate and implement assembly processes, work instructions, and production routing for electromechanical systems.
• Ensure that fixture and tooling designs satisfy production rate, repeatability, ESD, and quality standards, including validation through first article and process qualification activities.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) initiatives concerning production inefficiencies, fixture performance, or challenges in electromechanical integration.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) aimed at reducing build cycle times, enhancing yield, and scaling production capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Over 7 years of experience in Production Management for electro-mechanical assemblies with a focus on New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering.
• NPI activities must encompass supplier evaluation and selection processes.
• Proven experience and knowledge of modern ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, in manufacturing settings.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools.
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
