Production & Manufacturing Functional Consultant – D365 F&O

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate business discovery sessions, workshops, and requirement-gathering activities with stakeholders from the manufacturing sector.

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and propose optimal D365 F&O solutions based on industry best practices.

• Design and implement functional solutions related to Production Control and Manufacturing workflows.

• Offer functional expertise in areas such as BOMs, formulas, routing, production orders, resources, and manufacturing processes.

• Assess legacy data and establish requirements for manufacturing data migration.

• Create and validate data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and migration specifications.

• Assist in the migration of manufacturing master data, encompassing BOMs, routes, products, resources, and associated production data.

• Perform fit-gap analysis to uncover opportunities for process enhancement and standardization.

• Draft functional specifications, process flows, solution design documents, and user stories.

• Collaborate with technical consultants, data migration teams, architects, and developers to ensure project success.

• Aid in functional testing, SIT, UAT, data validation, reconciliation, deployment, and post-go-live activities.

• Lead UAT sessions and encourage business-user adoption of new systems.

• Serve as a manufacturing functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide guidance to business and project stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Between 10 and 15 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).

• Demonstrated experience in delivering D365 F&O implementations in Manufacturing and/or Production settings.

• Strong functional knowledge of Production Control and Manufacturing processes.

• Practical experience with Bill of Materials (BOM), Routing/Routes, Production Orders, Resources, and Production Processes.

• Extensive experience with data migration, including mapping, cleansing, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

• Prior experience with legacy system to D365 F&O migration projects is strongly preferred.

• Background in conducting stakeholder workshops, business process mapping, fit-gap analysis, and solution design sessions.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, data migration teams, and cross-functional project groups.

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications are highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Master Planning/MRP, Production Scheduling, Capacity Planning, or Cost Management will be an added advantage.
