This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Prepare, negotiate, interpret, and oversee intricate proposal and contract documents for the Military Engines Organization.
• Act as the main point of contact for both external and internal stakeholders concerning contract-related issues and the interpretation of contract stipulations.
• Deliver contract leadership and expertise in crafting innovative solutions to intricate contracting challenges.
• Oversee the contract from initiation to the closing phase.
• Analyze terms and conditions, providing guidance on contracting rights and obligations to reduce contractual and programmatic risks.
• Engage extensively with managers across the organization and the United States Government.
• Support the F135 Production and Development team within the Military Engines Contracts Management Organization.
• Travel is required for approximately 10% of the time.
• A Bachelor's degree along with 8+ years of experience in contract management or contract drafting and negotiation; OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of such experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Excellent customer engagement and negotiation abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to exercise discretion and operate independently.
• Proven teamwork skills.
• Proficient document drafting abilities.
• Knowledge of aerospace business and legal matters.
• Familiarity with CORE process improvement methodologies.
• Solid grounding in contracting principles, document preparation, and negotiation techniques.
• Management capabilities.
• Sound business judgment and project management skills.
• Experience with FAR and DFARS is strongly preferred.
• A Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate is preferred.
