Product Strategy Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Formulate and execute the product strategy for JoVE Research, in alignment with the company’s growth objectives.

• Translate customer requirements, market dynamics, competitive activity, and product performance into clear priorities.

• Generate recommendations for product improvements, new offerings, platform functionalities, and research content.

• Engage frequently with researchers, authors, and research leaders to grasp their needs, challenges, workflows, and evolving behaviors.

• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of AI adoption within the research sector. Identify beneficial practices, evaluate risks, and advise on what JoVE should or should not implement.

• Lead initial discovery and validation through interviews, surveys, concept evaluations, prototypes, and pilot programs.

• Establish and manage a social listening framework to monitor relevant discussions, topics, communities, and customer sentiment.

• Set success metrics and objectives for strategic initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.

• 4-7 years of experience in product strategy, product management, new product development, new initiatives, or consulting.

• A solid understanding of researchers and research workflows is essential. This may stem from experience in life science research, supporting researchers, or conducting research.

• Proven track record of transforming ambiguous market and customer insights into product opportunities and strategic recommendations.
