This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the corporate strategy and assess market opportunities.
• Assist in M&A execution and serve as a strategic ally to business leaders.
• Provide guidance on product strategies, market entry, competitive positioning, operational enhancements, and capturing customer opportunities.
• Develop intricate financial models and perform valuation analyses utilizing DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and sum-of-the-parts methodologies.
• Assess potential targets, partners, and investment opportunities.
• Prepare transaction materials such as teasers, information memoranda, management presentations, and term sheets.
• Facilitate cross-functional due diligence to uncover risks and opportunities.
• Conduct market research and competitive assessments.
• Monitor deal activity and analyze financial performance of peer companies and related sectors.
• Integrate findings into executive-ready PowerPoint presentations for discussions with executive leadership and the Board.
• Contribute to Rapid7’s annual and long-term strategic planning initiatives.
• Align organizational priorities with market opportunities.
• 1.5–3+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or corporate strategy with a strong quantitative background.
• Demonstrated capability to create financial models from the ground up.
• Experience in applying DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions valuation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of M&A execution protocols, due diligence, deal documentation, and competitive landscape evaluation.
• Excellent writing and presentation abilities.
• Profound interest in enterprise technology, SaaS metrics, deal activity, and the scaling and transformation of tech companies.
• Capability to independently manage multiple concurrent work streams.
• Proficient in collaborating across boundaries with cross-functional business leaders.
• Strong self-awareness to adapt to group dynamics and navigate complex strategic scenarios.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is acceptable; no formal educational credentials are required.
