Product Software Engineer – Spacelift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Deliver new features and products in an iterative and incremental manner

• Take ownership of features from inception through to design, implementation, and maintenance

• Address complex technical challenges that incorporate various technologies

• Develop scalable Go solutions that prioritize strong readability and testability

• Engage in continuous learning about the problem domain

• Participate in the on-call rotation and manage the systems you create

• Collaborate within an eight-member product team, comprising a team lead, backend and frontend engineers, a UX/UI designer, and a product manager

• Work closely with team members to address problems and challenges through collaboration

• Play a significant role in important product and project decisions

• Utilize continuous deployment practices, feature flags, and tracer-bullet development techniques

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical programming experience in Go, Rust, or C/C++

• More than 6 years of experience in the technology sector, including software engineering, platform development, and/or DevOps

• A strong passion for product development and a keen interest in DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Developer Experience

• A proactive attitude with a mindset geared towards ownership

• Familiarity with or interest in developer tooling

• Experience with, or a desire to learn about, IaC tools such as OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation, as well as Kubernetes and the Cloud Native ecosystem

• Previous experience in early-stage startups or having co-founded a startup is advantageous
