Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily product and delivery operational framework for a software development team.

• Oversee backlog prioritization and ensure work readiness for a designated software delivery team.

• Collaborate with users, stakeholders, and other parties to comprehend business requirements and desired outcomes.

• Convert business challenges into actionable product tasks.

• Assess competing priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery limitations.

• Ensure that the completed work aligns with product objectives and user requirements.

• Facilitate discovery sessions involving stakeholders, users, and subject-matter experts.

• Develop workflows, user stories, business rules, acceptance criteria, and necessary requirements.

• Identify assumptions, dependencies, risks, and edge cases in the early stages.

• Validate proposed solutions against the intended outcomes.

• Lead Agile team ceremonies and uphold a healthy delivery process.

• Assist the team in overcoming obstacles and resolving delivery issues.

• Encourage continuous improvement through retrospectives and delivery feedback.

• Maintain transparency regarding team priorities, commitments, dependencies, and risks.

• Enhance predictability, transparency, and team effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Product Design, QA, Engineering, Client Success, Product Adoption & Training, and Project Management.

• Align stakeholders around product decisions and delivery priorities.

• Coordinate dependencies that impact delivery results.

• Ensure that handoffs are clear and that product intent remains consistent throughout the implementation process.

• Engage in release-readiness activities.

• Verify delivered functionality against approved requirements and intended workflows.

• Collect feedback post-release and integrate insights into future priorities.

• Tackle increasingly complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, workflows, integrations, and business processes.

• Cultivate stronger skills in prioritization, facilitation, discovery, and delivery leadership.

• Prepare for future advancement into Senior Product Owner, Product Management, or Solution Delivery leadership roles.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, Agile delivery, software product development, solution delivery, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in product ownership, business analysis, Agile delivery, software product development, solution delivery, or a related field.

• Experience supporting software development teams in roles such as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Management, or a similar position.

• Proficient in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, requirements, and backlog-ready tasks.

• Familiar with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.

• Capable of facilitating discussions that involve competing priorities and stakeholder needs.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Effective collaboration skills across technical and business teams.

• Experience in balancing user value, quality, feasibility, delivery risk, and business priorities.

• Background in enterprise software, internal business applications, workflow tools, AI-enabled platforms, data-intensive applications, or digital transformation initiatives.

• Experience working with Design, Engineering, QA, Project Management, and customer-facing teams.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365, Jira, or other comparable delivery management platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Product Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, or a related field is preferred.

• Possession of Product Owner, Scrum, Agile, Business Analysis, or related certifications.

• Willingness to travel up to 5%, potentially to any or all 50 US states.

• Equivalent practical experience will be accepted in lieu of the preferred bachelor's degree.
