This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Design, develop, and test software solutions tailored for the learning environments of K-12 schools.
• Create, implement, and test RESTful web services utilizing NodeJS, Google Apps Script, and Postman.
• Collaborate with various Amazon Web Services (AWS) to construct, host, and maintain application environments.
• Adhere to best practices for source code repository management and branching/merging strategies using Git across multiple codebases and applications.
• Analyze and resolve technical and application-related issues.
• Offer analysis and troubleshooting assistance for production-related issues and code deployment activities.
• Contribute to the design and development of user interfaces.
• Collaborate effectively with other developers, testers, and product owners.
• Set up and administer systems (SIS, LMS, third-party integrations) for existing and new schools joining the Pansophic environment.
• Work closely with enrollment and development teams to map complex data into the learning ecosystem.
• Oversee daily operations of systems, collaborating with school staff, administrators, and operational teams to address system anomalies, accurately diagnose issues, and ensure prompt resolution.
• Conduct routine maintenance and application updates on servers/instances.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding maintenance impacts and communicate updates to affected parties via the Incident/Maintenance team.
• Collaborate with various departments and teams on projects, data requests, automation, and custom reports.
• Create and maintain documentation and provide training to corporate staff as needed.
• Support systems during school year-end activities and annual rollovers.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical or electronics engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience with NodeJS.
• More than 3 years of experience with JavaScript.
• Experience in administering complex systems/integrations such as Canvas LMS, SIS, and Clever Integrations.
• Strong technical aptitude to learn new systems, processes, and backend reporting.
• Experience in developing open standards-based solutions, including web services, web applications, and modern user interfaces.
• Significant and demonstrable experience in implementing features across the software development team and development environment.
• Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment while solving complex problems.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity with message queue technology and design patterns.
• Knowledge of services within Amazon Web Services, such as S3, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EC2, CloudFront, and Redshift.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services API.
• Proficiency in Git version control.
• Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
• Experience with ticket tracking and resolving issues for end users.
