This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
β’ Governance of positioning β Uphold our positioning framework as the definitive reference: what we communicate, what we refrain from expressing, how we distinguish ourselves from competitors, and areas where we do not engage. Adapt this framework as market and product dynamics evolve.
β’ Consistency in narrative β Assess marketing materials, sales content, and launch assets for alignment in messaging. Collaborate with Content Marketing to ensure the HealthJoy Benefits OS story remains cohesive across all audiences and channels.
β’ GTM strategy and launch execution β Take ownership of positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy for product launches. Collaborate with Growth Marketing to transform product positioning into impactful campaign themes and channel strategies. Lead cross-functional planning aligned with industry seasonality and evaluate the launch impact on the sales funnel. You must confidently engage with teams and influence stakeholders and decision-makers.
β’ Market and competitive intelligence β Monitor market trends and the positioning strategies of competitors. Maintain battlecards and supervise win/loss analysis. Keep a continuous record of competitor messaging to identify what to avoid and where to provide counterarguments.
β’ Expertise in buyers β Develop a thorough understanding of our buyers: benefits consultants, brokers, and the HR and finance leaders they support at self-funded employers. Familiarize yourself with their terminology and challenges.
β’ Partnership with product β Collaborate closely with Product Management. Gain a deep understanding of the Benefits OS platform and its core features to confidently position them.
β’ Enablement of field teams β Work with Revenue Enablement to create training and key messaging frameworks for Sales and Customer Success. Review training materials for accuracy. Ensure field teams are informed about what to communicate, what to avoid, and the rationale behind it.
β’ Performance and iteration β Connect PMM efforts to measurable outcomes: win rates, sales cycles, and content adoption. Partner with Growth Marketing to assess messaging effectiveness across digital channels. Utilize A/B test outcomes and conversion metrics to enhance our positioning and GTM initiatives.
β’ Over 7 years of experience in product marketing, preferably in B2B or B2B2C settings β with a focus on healthcare technology or benefits.
β’ Proficient understanding of the benefits market: self-funded employers, benefits administration, and the broker and consultant purchasing processes.
β’ Experience in category creation or significant market repositioning β not merely launching features within an existing narrative.
β’ Proven expertise in positioning. You have previously owned positioning β developed frameworks, defended them, and modified them in response to market changes.
β’ Demonstrable results. You can reference a launch that positively impacted win rates, sales cycles, or content adoption, and articulate the reasons behind it.
β’ AI-first approach. You leverage AI tools to enhance efficiency and improve decision-making. You possess clear insights on how to construct, calibrate, and manage AI agents for automation.
β’ You foster alignment without direct authority β influencing peers and senior stakeholders through the strength of your ideas rather than a reporting line.
β’ You facilitate alignment across Sales, Customer Success, and leadership β not just participating but actively driving it.
β’ Narrative innovator. You have successfully transformed a product with an undefined narrative into a coherent message across a sales team, launch plan, and an initially indifferent market.
β’ Exceptional communicator. You are a strong writer and communicator β clear, persuasive, concise, and capable of engaging various audiences.
β’ Educational qualifications. Bachelor's or advanced degree in marketing, healthcare, business, or a related discipline.
