Product Manager, Utilities – Sustainability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product journey by transforming utility and building energy data into reliable sustainability results.

• Spearhead initiatives for benchmarking, readiness for performance standards, audit and RCx report workflows, green energy comprehension, and verifiable reporting.

• Collaborate closely with Utility Operations and Utility Expense Management product and engineering teams.

• Engage with sophisticated clients on a weekly basis.

• Deliver capabilities that minimize manual ESG emergencies and establish a sustainable growth trajectory for Entrata Utilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of sustainability and ESG principles within the built environment.

• Proficient in explaining and implementing Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 concepts and calculations.

• Familiarity with ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager benchmarking standards.

• Knowledge of Building Performance Standards, energy audits, and Retrocommissioning reports.

• Insight into green energy and renewable procurement concepts, including RECs, green tariffs, and on-site generation.

• Acquaintance with GRESB, SASB, CRREM, LEED, and local benchmarking regulations.

• Experience in product management within B2B, proptech, or utilitytech sectors, encompassing discovery, prioritization, requirements gathering, acceptance criteria, release readiness, and collaboration with engineering teams.

• Awareness of utility domains in multifamily or commercial real estate.

• Solid working knowledge of GHG Protocol-style Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 concepts.

• Direct experience as an operator or owner in multifamily or commercial real estate.

• Experience in GRESB or SASB reporting and documentation processes.

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in product management (or equivalent ownership) in B2B SaaS, proptech, utilitytech, or closely related fields, or 5+ years in sustainability/energy consulting with demonstrated success in delivering software products.

• Experience with utility billing, submetering, vacancy cost recovery, or energy data platforms.

• Familiarity with local benchmarking regulations or Building Performance Standards programs.

• Capability to utilize company-approved GenAI tools for automating routine processes.

• Responsibility for reviewing AI outputs for factual correctness, brand consistency, and elimination of inaccuracies.

• Compliance with AI security protocols and safeguarding proprietary or personally identifiable information.

• Skill in crafting clear and context-rich prompts.

• Credentials or coursework in CEM, LEED AP, WELL, or GHG accounting are advantageous but not mandatory.
