This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.
• Conduct research to identify and comprehend user needs.
• Analyze findings and effectively communicate them to the team.
• Engage in assumption mapping and collaborate with Design, Product Analytics, and Engineering to conduct experiments.
• Document enhancement requests in the backlog and assist requestors in identifying the root issues their requests aim to resolve.
• Gather essential inputs to evaluate problems and opportunities, aiding in prioritization efforts.
• Participate in opportunity mapping for prioritized issues to determine potential solutions.
• Create and advocate for a product strategy and one-year roadmap that aligns with the overall portfolio.
• Ensure that your epics have a feasible plan to monitor progress towards outcomes.
• Collaborate across multiple functions to ensure efficient implementation of breakdowns.
• Work with engineering to compile a list of stories and epics for each sprint based on priority, effort, capacity, and dependencies.
• Write high-quality epics and stories with clear, concise information and robust acceptance criteria.
• Monitor sprint progress and inform stakeholders of any delays.
• Collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams to remove dependencies or escalate issues as necessary.
• Partner with Product Analytics to pinpoint UI and API-driven events that enhance the team's understanding of user experience and adoption.
• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience in product management.
• At least 3 years of experience in product management and/or product design.
• A minimum of 3 years managing complex initiatives from start to finish using product management processes and best practices.
• Proficient in defining and implementing product metrics to measure performance and success.
• Experience overseeing all phases of product delivery.
• Proven experience representing diverse customers and stakeholders during planning stages.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience with rating platforms and rules engines.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience building software platforms in the insurance sector for crucial functions such as rating, underwriting, and insurance configuration.
• Preferred: A minimum of 1 year of advanced knowledge of Guidewire product models, specifically working with Guidewire Policy Center, and familiarity with its role in underwriting/sales workflows, policy rating, rules engine, and Guidewire product models.
• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience working with Property & Casualty insurance platforms.
