This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate pricing and positioning strategies for products by leveraging market research data, analyzing production and sales costs, and forecasting trends.
• Oversee the profit and loss of each RSC product by implementing necessary price adjustments and cost improvements.
• Manage and execute the launch of new RSC products.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to create and maintain marketing materials for all RSC products, including price lists, brochures, labels, samples, guides, and product approvals.
• Take responsibility for the RSC product life cycle and roadmap, from product definition and strategy through to product launch and the phasing out of outdated or obsolete products.
• Communicate pricing and product updates to Management, the Sales team, other internal departments, vendors, and customers.
• Gather feedback from the “voice of the customer” regarding company products and services.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the customer experience, identify and address product gaps, generate innovative ideas to increase market share, enhance customer experience, and drive growth.
• Analyze RSC sales performance and collaborate with Sales Managers and Territory Managers to implement regional sales strategies for products.
• Manage RSC sample offerings and fulfill sample requests as necessary.
• Secure approvals for and execute price changes and legal documents using Docusign.
• Serve as a product advocate to enhance awareness and comprehension of RSC products.
• Identify competing products for each product line within various regional markets.
• Establish marketing and product requirements to maximize revenue and profitability for RSC.
• Coordinate with supply chain, operations, and external suppliers to ensure a steady supply of RSC products.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain to ensure that all vendor price increases are processed and determine Westlake RSC pricing to maintain or enhance margins.
• Create product introduction presentations and deliver them to Sales and Customer Service.
• Train new employees on RSC and keep all presentation materials current.
• Provide monthly reports to management on RSC sales and specific product or pricing modifications.
• Maintain professional and technical expertise by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, building personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Over 5 years of experience in Product Management.
• Experience in the building products or construction markets is advantageous.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficient with technology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaborative skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams effectively.
• High proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP is preferred.
• 30% travel required.
