This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
⢠Take full ownership of the Customs House Brokerage product area, overseeing everything from problem identification to the measurement of outcomes.
⢠Manage classification, entry construction and validation, ABI/ACE filing processes, PGA handling, and tariff regulations, including Section 232, Section 301, IEEPA/Section 122, and Chapter 99 stacking.
⢠Identify exceptions requiring manual intervention and eliminate them through automated workflows.
⢠Develop acceptance criteria that encompass triggers, automated behaviors, success criteria, and failure conditions without human involvement.
⢠Collaborate closely with an engineering lead within the Bet / Shape / Build / Validate pod framework for shared delivery responsibilities.
⢠Produce prototypes as part of the product development process.
⢠Conduct exploratory research, prioritize initiatives according to the Zero Touch Rate metric, define testable criteria, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
⢠Create agentic systems capable of retrieving data, reasoning, citing sources, scoring confidence, and escalating genuine exceptions.
⢠In-depth knowledge and experience in customs brokerage and the entry lifecycle.
⢠Proficiency in HTS classification, 7501, ISF, ABI/ACE/CATAIR mechanics, PGA, PSC, and PEA.
⢠Ability to engage in discussions regarding Section 232, Section 301, IEEPA/Section 122, and Chapter 99 stacking.
⢠Technical expertise in data ingestion, extraction, APIs, integrations, deterministic rules, and probabilistic models.
⢠Capability to read schemas, troubleshoot issues, write requirements respected by engineering teams, prototype, and query data effectively.
⢠Proven end-to-end product ownership experience in a complex, high-stakes environment.
⢠Familiarity with product discovery, effective prioritization, testable acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
⢠Experience working in an AI-native manner using tools like Claude, Cursor, Lovable, and v0.
⢠Proficiency in designing agentic systems that include retrieval, reasoning, citations, confidence scoring, and exception escalation.
⢠A US broker license or equivalent field experience is highly advantageous.
⢠Previous experience in a customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or trade-tech platform is a desirable plus.
⢠Knowledge of Canadian customs, CARM, CAD, LVS, restricted party screening, or refund/reconciliation workflows is an added benefit.
