This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +38 more states.
• Take charge of the product strategy and roadmap for the Product API, the product configuration data model, and tools for product expansion and revision.
• Determine how internal teams such as State Management, Underwriting, Insurance, and Compliance utilize and rely on product data.
• Lead the strategy and versioning standards for the Product API to ensure reliable and well-documented interfaces.
• Spearhead the exploration of platform extensions as Kin’s services evolve beyond insurance.
• Develop and enhance the AI-enablement layer on the Product API MCP.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to transition platform capabilities from prototype to production rollout.
• Create detailed specifications and requirements for IHOP and PAPI features.
• Define and manage metrics that assess consumer independence, using them to guide the roadmap.
• Empower internal teams to implement product changes via self-service tools with reduced reliance on engineering.
• Establish documented standards for the insurance product data model and API.
• Transition the Product API MCP from concept to AI-enabled workflows utilized for prototyping and configuration.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management.
• Direct responsibility for a platform, API, or internal tooling product.
• Experience in treating internal teams as clients and converting workflows into platform requirements.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity as the platform scope extends beyond insurance.
• Technical expertise in API design, versioning, and data model decisions.
• Experience with or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for internal workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong inclination towards delivering platform capabilities from concept to reliable production tools.
