Product Manager – Podcast

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the strategic roadmap for maintaining catalog integrity, rights management, and platform safety within the Podcast Platform Product Area.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to create scalable solutions utilizing Spotify's trust, safety, rights management, and compliance features.

• Convert product strategy into precise technical requirements and comprehensive system flows.

• Develop systems that govern content distribution on Spotify while ensuring adherence to copyright, licensing standards, platform regulations, and relevant laws.

• Spearhead the advancement of the Spotify Rights Center for managing rightsholder content and addressing creator rights-related issues.

• Adapt to evolving business, legal, and regulatory demands by translating them into scalable product functionalities.

• Work collaboratively across engineering, legal, licensing, Trust & Safety, operations, business, Podcast Mission, and Spotify platform teams.

• Enhance the quality, trust, and integrity of Spotify's content ecosystem.

• Seasoned Product Manager with a strong foundation in product development.

• Solid technical knowledge with the ability to convert complex product requirements into scalable engineering solutions.

• Familiarity with trust, safety, rights management, and compliance systems within a platform context.

• Capacity to define strategies alongside senior leaders and articulate clear user stories for the team.

• Proficient in collaborating effectively across engineering, legal, policy, licensing, operations, and business teams.

• Ability to navigate uncertainty, make informed trade-offs, and clarify complex issues.

• Experience in creating products for creators and platforms, including content moderation or rights management systems like YouTube's Content ID, is an advantage.
