This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +38 more states.
• Define and lead the long-term strategy for platform management in policy administration, billing, and payment systems.
• Convert business objectives into a structured and clear roadmap.
• Act as the primary product advocate for the platform within engineering, architecture, and senior leadership.
• Align stakeholders on priorities and necessary trade-offs.
• Conduct discovery on intricate, ambiguous platform challenges utilizing data, user research, and business impact insights.
• Oversee the platform API strategy, ensuring interfaces are reliable, documented, and versioned.
• Guide solutions from prototype development through to production rollout, collaborating with data, design, and engineering teams.
• Draft product specifications and user stories for engineering teams.
• Define, manage, and promote platform success metrics.
• Leverage data to drive ongoing improvements and communicate outcomes.
• Mentor and enhance the skills of fellow product managers.
• Manage relationships with vendors across payment processors and third-party policy administration systems.
• Create a multi-year platform roadmap and establish API standards.
• Advance modernization or migration efforts while removing obstacles for dependent teams.
• Over 8 years of professional experience, including at least 6 years in software product management.
• Demonstrated ownership of platform or infrastructure products within a Fintech, Insurtech, or similarly regulated financial services environment.
• Experience in leading platform modernization or re-platforming projects.
• Proven ability to sequence migrations without disrupting dependent teams.
• Technical fluency for discussions on architecture and comprehension of reliability, scalability, and security considerations.
• Experience in vendor management with payment processors, policy administration vendors, or third-party data providers.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities for both technical and executive audiences.
• Capability to write clearly, present confidently, and adapt messages to suit the audience.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance policy administration systems, billing platforms, or payment infrastructure is a plus.
• Familiarity with homeowners, property & casualty, or specialty insurance products is advantageous.
• Exposure to regulatory and compliance frameworks within financial services is a bonus.
• Must reside and work full-time in one of the specified U.S. states, or in Ontario for remote technical roles in Canada.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and disclose sponsorship needs during the application process.
