This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong, +3 more states.
• Take ownership of a specific domain within the Payments product, managing it from problem identification and prioritization to delivery and ongoing iteration.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of clients, payment capabilities, and compliance needs to inform product decisions.
• Conduct structured discovery sessions with clients and partners to pinpoint gaps and confirm the strategic direction.
• Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within the domain.
• Collaborate with engineering, solutions architecture, compliance, and legal teams to drive product results.
• Establish and nurture relationships with external partners and clients to guide product strategy.
• Articulate product decisions, reasoning, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to team strategies, operational models, and prioritization discussions.
• Draft clear product specifications for engineering, compliance, and legal review.
• Set success metrics for the domain and leverage data to assess progress.
• Maintain high standards for product quality and detail.
• Utilize AI tools for research, specification writing, competitive analysis, client communication, and strategic synthesis.
• Assist in integrating AI-native practices throughout the team.
• Identify possibilities for AI-enhanced product capabilities.
• 3–5 years of experience in product management within fintech, payments infrastructure, or B2B SaaS.
• Proven track record of independently managing substantial product domains.
• In-depth knowledge of payment networks, on/offramps, stablecoin applications, foreign exchange, banking partnerships, and compliance issues.
• Strong grasp of AML, KYC/KYB, transaction screening/monitoring, fraud prevention measures, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
• Comprehensive API experience, which includes interpreting specifications, assessing integration designs, and drafting API-level requirements.
• Proven daily usage of AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar technologies.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Experience in embedded finance and B2B/B2C payments infrastructure is a plus.
• Experience in developing or prototyping AI-assisted internal tools is a plus.
• Self-motivated, opinionated yet intellectually honest, curious about various domains, possessing systems-thinking abilities, and demonstrating high ownership.
