This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for PMM, ensuring alignment with Percona's overall product vision.
• Engage directly with customers and the community to gain insights into their challenges, validate concepts, and discover new product opportunities.
• Perform market research and competitive analysis to influence product direction.
• Convert customer issues into well-defined product requirements and priorities.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Documentation, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver exceptional product experiences.
• Prioritize features and make informed trade-offs based on customer value, engineering effort, and strategic objectives.
• Establish success metrics and leverage customer feedback, product telemetry, and usage data to inform product decisions.
• Work in close partnership with engineering throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial discovery to final release.
• Serve as a representative for PMM both internally and externally through blog posts, webinars, conferences, customer meetings, and community involvement.
• Assist in promoting the adoption of PMM within the open source community and enterprise organizations.
• Proven track record in managing technical products, especially developer tools, infrastructure, platform, or observability products.
• Demonstrated capability in delivering successful software products from conception to launch.
• Strong technical knowledge of modern infrastructure, databases, cloud-native solutions, and observability technologies, with the ability to translate complex technical ideas into product strategies and customer benefits.
• Experience working collaboratively across various functions, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success.
• Deep customer empathy, enabling the translation of customer issues into products that provide genuine value.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, making decisions with limited information, and iterating quickly based on customer insights.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits, conferences, and company events.
