This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Oversee the implementation, scaling, and management of the lifecycle of machine learning and artificial intelligence functionalities within Workiva’s platform.
• Possess a deep understanding of and effectively communicate a compelling product vision and strategy for AI/ML features, ensuring alignment with company goals and market opportunities.
• Perform thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to uncover unmet needs and opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Create comprehensive product roadmaps, user stories, and acceptance criteria for AI/ML initiatives, ensuring clear prioritization and measurable outcomes.
• Lead the complete product lifecycle for AI/ML features, from ideation and validation to development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
• Drive the implementation of product initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features that align with customer needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and data science teams to translate complex AI models and algorithms into user-friendly, scalable, and high-performance product experiences.
• Advocate for a data-driven approach, employing metrics and analytics to guide product decisions and assess the success of launched features.
• Act as the liaison between business requirements and technical execution, with a strong grasp of AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and scalable system architectures.
• Work in partnership with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to create effective go-to-market strategies, enablement materials, and engaging messaging for new AI features.
• A minimum of 6 years of product management experience in software development or a related field.
• A proven history of successfully launching products that have gained market adoption and delivered business impact.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing product lifecycles from ideation through launch and iteration in an Agile development environment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related technical field.
• 2-3+ years of experience specifically focusing on AI/ML products or features within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software setting.
• Practical experience in managing products utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), or automated agentic workflows.
• Technical knowledge regarding data pipelines, dataset curation/labeling requirements, and core model evaluation metrics (e.g., precision, recall, latency).
• Familiarity with enterprise software design principles, including microservices architectures and API-first product delivery.
• Proven ability to clearly communicate technical constraints and algorithmic trade-offs to non-technical business leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A Master's degree is preferred.
• Certifications in product management or AI/ML are preferred.
