This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the hardware platform strategy.
• Develop and implement Qu’s hybrid hardware approach, integrating both first-party and certified ecosystems.
• Lead the roadmap for POS terminals, handheld devices, kiosks, and peripherals.
• Connect hardware, operating systems, and software effectively.
• Spearhead cross-platform strategies for both Windows (x86) and Android.
• Establish the migration and compatibility plan from legacy systems to modern architectures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on device abstraction and maintaining platform consistency.
• Manage the peripherals and device ecosystem.
• Formulate strategies for connectivity options, including USB, Bluetooth, and network protocols, alongside device communication.
• Oversee peripheral support for devices such as printers, payment systems, and scanners, ensuring driver reliability.
• Guarantee consistent performance across a range of hardware environments.
• Build and nurture a certification and partner ecosystem.
• Develop and expand hardware certification programs.
• Work closely with OEMs, device manufacturers, and payment solution providers.
• Assist customers in maximizing the lifecycle of their current hardware investments.
• Execute projects from start to finish seamlessly.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept to launch and scaling.
• Align the hardware roadmap with the platform and go-to-market strategy.
• Balance trade-offs among cost, performance, durability, and deployment speed.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management related to hardware, device platforms, or embedded systems.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows (x86) and Android architectures.
• Familiarity with peripherals, connectivity solutions, and driver ecosystems.
• Proven experience working with hardware vendors, OEMs, or certification initiatives.
• Capability to navigate across hardware, software, and platform layers.
• Background in restaurant technology, payments, or point of sale systems.
