This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more states.
• Establish and maintain stable operations for the Ember Labs platform, focusing on infrastructure, site performance, deployment processes via Webflow and GitHub, and incident management.
• Create documentation for operational procedures to ensure Ember staff can manage the platform independently beyond the engagement period.
• Develop and supervise a swift Labs-to-Production workflow for product development, from scoping and approval through AI-assisted building, deployment, evaluation, enhancement, retirement, or full construction for Ember’s primary website.
• Empower non-technical teams to create AI-assisted no-code data tools intended for publication as experiments on Ember Labs.
• Implement an internal Labs cohort model and manage the project development of Labs tools.
• Conduct training sessions on AI-assisted tool creation, including Claude Artifacts and Claude Code.
• Enhance the quality of AI-assisted products through the establishment of guidelines, training data, data quality and brand alignment governance, learning processes, and swift resolutions when quality standards are not achieved.
• Assess experiment performance among target users and offer feedback for iterative enhancements and future product pipeline strategies.
• Collaborate with Ember’s Policy, Communications, and Data Teams to formulate processes for transitioning tools to Ember’s main WordPress site, coordinating with the web agency as necessary.
• Ensure cost-effective project delivery while monitoring the project budget.
• Propose a long-term vision for Ember Labs to enhance live intelligence delivery for energy decision-makers.
• At least 3 years of experience in product management, encompassing product performance measurement, persona-specific external feedback, internal learning and reflection, user and journey mapping, articulation of product impact, and improvement of product impact.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD workflows utilizing GitHub Actions or equivalent.
• Experience in deploying and integrating static and server-backed web tools through GitHub Pages, Google Cloud Run, or similar platforms.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks like Svelte, React, or Vue.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and an understanding of its advantages and limitations.
• Knowledge of web security in the context of managing web development projects.
• Experience in writing and conducting internal training sessions.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as ClickUp, Monday, or Asana.
• Capability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical colleagues, clearly communicating deployment and product decisions.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Nice to have: experience operating product labs.
• Nice to have: familiarity with design systems and component libraries such as Storybook.
• Nice to have: experience in building or maintaining a WordPress site.
• Nice to have: experience in coordinating between a team and contracted agencies.
• Opportunity to extend the 6-month contract.
