This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take charge of the product strategy and roadmap for Seek Thermal fire products.
• Perform market evaluations to pinpoint opportunities for new products, innovations, and enhancements across hardware, software, accessories, and user experience.
• Execute voice-of-customer research, field observations, surveys, prototype assessments, field testing, and ongoing customer engagement.
• Identify target users, use cases, value propositions, features, performance requirements, user experience, and packaging.
• Create business cases, ROI analyses, MRDs, PRDs, competitive evaluations, and launch recommendations.
• Convert market and user needs into product requirements while making feature, cost, and schedule trade-offs with Engineering and Design.
• Oversee cross-functional execution for new product development and ongoing initiatives.
• Prioritize requirements and development efforts across various projects and lifecycle stages.
• Keep track of competitive offerings, technology trends, customer feedback, field performance, and market developments.
• Advocate for customer and market needs in product decisions and prioritize field issues and sustaining improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on go-to-market strategies, messaging, training, sales tools, launch plans, and demand-generation activities.
• Assist with launches and post-launch performance by defining metrics, monitoring performance, collecting feedback, and suggesting corrective actions.
• Involve customers, channel partners, and sales teams in product discussions, demonstrations, field evaluations, and market-development efforts.
• Convey roadmap priorities, product decisions, risks, trade-offs, schedules, and performance to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related technical field; a technical degree is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management or closely related product development roles.
• Strong preference for candidates with hardware and integrated software experience.
• Proven experience managing physical products throughout their entire lifecycle, from market discovery and definition to development, launch, sustaining, and end-of-life.
• Preferred experience in thermal imaging, fire service products, public safety, rugged professional equipment, or related markets.
• Demonstrated track record of successful product launches.
• Preferred experience in global manufacturing, supply chain, or procurement.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to translate user needs, behaviors, workflows, and motivations into actionable requirements.
• Excellent strategic thinking, market analysis, organizational, planning, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to grasp technical trade-offs and risks while working effectively with engineering counterparts.
• Skilled in developing product and go-to-market strategies and effectively communicating recommendations to technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical and financial skills, including business cases, ROI, cost trade-offs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Proven ability to lead through influence and work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
