This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive volume and gross margin growth for product categories within the portfolio in collaboration with suppliers and the M. Holland Commercial team.
• Create sales playbooks tailored to the portfolio, including competitive insights, margin guidelines, and ongoing training for the portfolio.
• Engage in joint sales travel and virtual consultations to foster new business development and reconnect with previous application opportunities.
• Formulate targeted portfolio campaigns, translating commercial strategies into selling initiatives and supply chain approaches.
• Identify underrepresented customer accounts while keeping track of market pricing trends.
• Optimize product assortment, sales volume, pricing, gross margin per pound, and inventory returns.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial Support to develop focused lead campaigns.
• Build supplier relationships, assist in achieving supplier growth objectives, attend trade shows, and nurture industry-association networks.
• Develop portfolio dashboards and gap reports organized by customer, account manager, and region.
• Aid in the development of the sales pipeline using the M. Holland CRM system.
• Work with Supply Chain and Sales teams to minimize slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Recognize and reward performance-driven sales behaviors.
• Strong ability to negotiate commercial deals at both supplier and customer levels.
• Enthusiasm for fostering and mentoring early-career sales professionals while enhancing the performance of experienced sales professionals.
• Capability to transform commercial insights and data-driven analysis into actionable outcomes.
• Experience in sourcing, account management, business development, market development, and/or purchasing management, ideally within distribution or supplier organizations.
• Proven experience working collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional international trips.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and proposing innovative and creative solutions.
• Preferred experience in sourcing that includes supply-agreement negotiation, price-guide development and upkeep, inventory management, delivered-cost analysis, material requirements forecasting, market trend monitoring, management, and packaging strategy formulation.
• Highly developed skills in sales and negotiation.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM technology.
• An undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Over seven years of experience in the plastic resin industry is preferred.
• Proven capability to engage with and influence senior-level management.
