This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership of the product roadmap for engineered power feeder solutions, encompassing the Maxiamp Cable Bus System and analogous power distribution products.
• Oversee product lifecycle processes from initial concept to commercialization, ensuring successful and timely launches.
• Perform structured product audits across relevant product lines, including documentation, specifications, certifications, and sales resources.
• Recognize discrepancies between existing product materials and market expectations, then collaborate with internal teams to rectify them.
• Create and maintain precise, professional product documentation such as datasheets, application guides, installation instructions, and submission templates.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other internal stakeholders to bridge product, documentation, technical, or compliance gaps.
• Formulate and implement a product roadmap that aligns with company objectives, market demand, sales growth, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to pinpoint opportunities for product enhancement, innovation, and expansion.
• Prioritize product features, enhancements, and new developments based on customer value, revenue potential, and strategic alignment.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of pertinent industry standards, technologies, customer requirements, and product applications.
• Engage with key customers, distributors, and industry partners to gather insights and strengthen relationships.
• Collaborate with sales teams to craft persuasive value propositions and support significant customer opportunities.
• Monitor product performance metrics, including market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction, and adjust product strategies as required.
• Simplify complex technical product information into clear messaging for sales teams, customers, and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management or product marketing within electrical infrastructure, power distribution, or related industrial/commercial sectors.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical products in fast-paced settings.
• Technical literacy, including the capability to read and interpret electrical specifications, product drawings, installation documentation, and associated technical materials.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to guide cross-functional work through internal teams and external partners without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex technical subjects for sales, customers, and non-technical audiences.
• A self-motivated working style and comfort in establishing structure in areas where processes, documentation, or product strategy may still be evolving.
• A strong customer focus and curiosity regarding how products are utilized in real-world field environments.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is preferred.
• A proactive, collaborative, and commercially minded approach to product management.
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally as necessary.
