📋 Description

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming, tailoring the process to meet the actual needs of the team.

• Create clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable engineers to build without ambiguity.

• Collaborate closely with engineering leads to maintain high levels of team velocity and product quality.

• Integrate AI into the product both as a feature and as a methodology for team operations.

• Engage with customers regularly to translate their feedback into actionable product decisions.

• Communicate progress and tradeoffs to leadership using straightforward language.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, with hands-on experience leading agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, or a successful hybrid approach).

• Proven track record of delivering software and taking ownership of results, rather than merely outputs.

• Strong insights into AI and its impact on product development, supported by personal experience with AI tools.

• Proficient in managing a team's operational flow: planning, prioritization, and ensuring team members are unblocked.

• Excellent writing and communication skills, capable of clearly articulating decisions to both engineers and non-technical executives.

• A persuasive advocate who understands customer motivations and can communicate effectively with them, including knowledge of the environmental health sector and familiarity with US and Canadian markets.

• Aesthetic sensibility: a keen eye for UI/UX design and comfortable in facilitating user testing to validate product choices.

• High degree of autonomy — able to lead without waiting for direction and adapt when plans shift.

• Bonus: Experience in GovTech, SaaS, or sales to non-technical audiences, with a history of executing migrations using agile methodologies without disrupting delivery.

• Experience in environmental health or other niches within GovTech.

• A solid grasp of financial subsystems, including billing, aging, and penalties.
