This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the product roadmap and prioritize tasks based on customer requirements, business objectives, and technical considerations.
• Facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming, tailoring the process to meet the actual needs of the team.
• Create clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable engineers to build without ambiguity.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leads to maintain high levels of team velocity and product quality.
• Integrate AI into the product both as a feature and as a methodology for team operations.
• Engage with customers regularly to translate their feedback into actionable product decisions.
• Communicate progress and tradeoffs to leadership using straightforward language.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management, with hands-on experience leading agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, or a successful hybrid approach).
• Proven track record of delivering software and taking ownership of results, rather than merely outputs.
• Strong insights into AI and its impact on product development, supported by personal experience with AI tools.
• Proficient in managing a team's operational flow: planning, prioritization, and ensuring team members are unblocked.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, capable of clearly articulating decisions to both engineers and non-technical executives.
• A persuasive advocate who understands customer motivations and can communicate effectively with them, including knowledge of the environmental health sector and familiarity with US and Canadian markets.
• Aesthetic sensibility: a keen eye for UI/UX design and comfortable in facilitating user testing to validate product choices.
• High degree of autonomy — able to lead without waiting for direction and adapt when plans shift.
• Bonus: Experience in GovTech, SaaS, or sales to non-technical audiences, with a history of executing migrations using agile methodologies without disrupting delivery.
• Experience in environmental health or other niches within GovTech.
• A solid grasp of financial subsystems, including billing, aging, and penalties.
