This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Take ownership and lead the product strategy for designated platform areas, ensuring alignment with the organization's business goals.
• Perform extensive market and competitive analysis to uncover feature opportunities and best practices within the industry.
• Create product requirements for engineering teams, which includes user stories, acceptance criteria, and business rationale.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource distribution in partnership with engineering leadership.
• Direct user acceptance testing procedures to confirm that features meet quality standards and fulfill business needs.
• Hold Product Engineers accountable for meeting delivery milestones, maintaining quality commitments, and adhering to project specifications.
• Evaluate business metrics and user data to assess product performance and pinpoint areas for optimization.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and compliance teams to ensure that product features align with business processes.
• Provide consistent progress updates and strategic insights to executive leadership.
• Remain informed about trends in the lending industry, changes in regulations, and the competitive landscape.
• Assist in customer research initiatives and collect feedback to guide product roadmap decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in product management with a proven track record of ownership over product areas.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in interpreting business metrics and user data.
• Background in conducting market research and competitive analysis.
• Capability to identify product opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive requirements documentation and manage project timelines effectively.
• Familiarity with user acceptance testing methodologies and quality assurance processes.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders and providing progress reports.
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or lending products is preferred.
• Knowledge of SBA lending processes and small business finance is a significant advantage.
