This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.
• Lead the development and implementation of both short-term and long-term strategies for designated Amcor Retail Private Label and Branded product lines.
• Take ownership of and drive the strategic alignment and profitability of product lines for both existing and potential business.
• Supervise and execute the onboarding process for new business, product transitions, and SKU rationalization.
• Create product development roadmaps and provide technology recommendations aimed at enhancing channel and product line efficiency, growth, and profitability.
• Offer product assortment and pricing guidance for new business opportunities while making optimization suggestions for current business.
• Evaluate strategic investment plans through collaboration across various functions.
• Partner with Sales leadership to target growth objectives.
• Perform P&L analysis for new business proposals and oversee management of existing businesses.
• Manage new product introductions, customer pricing, profitability, pricing strategies, and channel conflicts.
• Advocate for cost-reduction initiatives and oversee product mix and margin preservation.
• Identify opportunities related to equipment and process technologies that can enhance cost efficiency.
• Analyze market trends and competitive intelligence to align pricing strategies with consumer preferences and competitor actions.
• Engage in customer meetings and attend trade events.
• Develop assortment recommendations and enhance assortments for current customers.
• Collaborate with Sourcing and R&D to create options for both new and existing business.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to manage outgoing business and SKUs effectively.
• Work alongside Marketing and Package Engineering on graphic elements for packaging and product launches.
• Define service requirements for new, changing, and outgoing items in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Lead teams across functions to manage regulatory, compliance, and quality initiatives.
• Establish product positioning and communication strategies while managing positioning tools.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field is required.
• A preferred 5-7 years of experience in Product Management and/or Sales is desired.
• Experience in product management strategy and new product development methods is essential.
• Familiarity with retail and channel strategy management is critical.
• Proficient in using analytical tools for P&L evaluations and assessing product line profitability within retailer-specific contexts.
• Ability to design effective strategies and convey them to the Sales team.
• Aptitude for building and maintaining relationships with Sales and functional leadership teams.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, along with proven meeting facilitation capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Willingness to travel (10-5%).
