This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Create and uphold the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for People to Meet throughout guest and host experiences.
• Convert feedback from guests, hosts, and partners into actionable product features and positioning.
• Craft public-facing messaging and narratives that communicate the value proposition to guests, hosts, and the media.
• Collaborate with product teams and cross-functional partners in marketing, communications, research, and product marketing management.
• Expand and refine the supply of social formats by partnering with hosts and creators.
• Oversee the guest connection experience before, during, and after events.
• Advocate for trust, safety, and privacy within in-person connection products.
• Ensure the People to Meet storefront remains vibrant and that listings uphold a high-quality standard.
• Make user-centered prioritization and judgment decisions.
• Implement product launches that drive both business and user impact.
• Exemplify open communication and curiosity.
• Over 8 years of experience in product management and/or product marketing.
• Proven experience in creating product messaging and positioning for customers and media.
• Demonstrated expertise in inbound marketing and subject matter, ideally within consumer social, community, events, or marketplace sectors.
• Experience in developing social or community products, including features like profiles, identity, matching, discovery, messaging, and connection mechanics.
• Fluent in the dynamics of two-sided marketplaces, including supply and demand bootstrapping, cold-start challenges, network effects, and fostering repeat engagement.
• Knowledgeable about trust and safety, as well as privacy by design for real-world connections.
• Skilled in requirements gathering and documentation, with the ability to produce clear specifications.
• Capable of constructing customer-focused narratives and collaborating with marketing and communications teams.
• A proven track record of cross-functional product leadership.
• Experience in building and scaling global consumer products, marketplaces, or ecosystems.
• An entrepreneurial background with a history of bringing ideas to fruition and leading teams in dynamic settings.
• Experience with consumer products that generate significant engagement and revenue.
• Proficient in utilizing data and conducting business analysis for product strategy and go-to-market decisions.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
• Flexibility to work Pacific Time Zone hours as required.
• Preference for being located in or around San Francisco, Seattle, or New York; candidates cannot reside in the specified excluded states.
• Enjoys individual contributor roles in product and product marketing with a keen attention to detail.
• Base salary range of $200,000–$240,000 USD per year.
