This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee product strategy and execution within the Veterans Affairs program.
• Manage client relationships from a product management standpoint.
• Act as a people manager, leader, mentor, and subject matter expert.
• Convert program and organizational goals into clear priorities for the team.
• Enhance product management practices, ensuring alignment of delivery with scope, schedule, budget, and client expectations.
• Track and report on the progress of product and program delivery.
• Identify challenges, dependencies, risks, and strategies for mitigation.
• Independently lead complex assignments and initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product priorities with program objectives.
• Foster relationships with client stakeholders and translate business and user needs into product direction.
• Facilitate consensus and alignment among competing stakeholder priorities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes.
• Coach, mentor, and develop members of the product team.
• Oversee employee performance, feedback, reviews, compensation, and bonus recommendations.
• Manage personnel operations for direct reports, including timecards, PTO, onboarding, and team development.
• Participate in hiring interviews and serve as the hiring manager for assigned roles.
• Support processes aimed at improving program and business unit efficiency.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, technical demonstrations, strategic planning, and customer-facing initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of educational qualifications.
• 3+ years of experience in leading or directing work among cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years of experience in mentoring, coaching, or developing team members.
• Proven experience in leading product strategy, delivery, or management within complex programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and independently lead complex initiatives.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Capable of successfully obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust security clearance.
• Preferred: substantial experience supporting U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs programs, products, or digital services.
• Preferred: experience managing senior-level stakeholders within complex organizations or federal programs.
• Preferred: experience in establishing trusted relationships with government clients and stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience managing product teams that support federal government programs.
• Preferred: familiarity with government contracting environments and applicable requirements and regulations.
• Preferred: CSPO, CPM, CSM, or other relevant product or Agile certifications.
• Preferred: experience in contributing to proposals, bids, technical demonstrations, or growth initiatives.
