Product Engineer – Systems Agents, TS/SCI Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Product engineering: Spearhead the Systems Agents team in designing, developing, and delivering an innovative coding harness and related product(s) for systems modernization utilizing TypeScript, React, Tailwind, Node.js, Python, Postgres, and AWS.

• Product integration: Create seamless integrations between source control systems, CI/CD platforms, requirements management tools, security scanners, developer environments, and a variety of commercial software products to establish comprehensive modernization workflows.

• Agent leadership: Oversee the deployment and expansion of resilient agentic workflows that facilitate system refactoring and software re-architecture at scale, employing contemporary agent frameworks and methodologies.

• Customer and mission partnership: Collaborate with customers, mission stakeholders, designers, and product teams to gain insights into user workflows and to drive tangible outcomes that align with real-world processes.

• AI-native product strategy: Assist in defining and shaping how software engineers, system architects, and program managers across program offices supporting DoW are empowered by AI and agents at Vannevar, balancing an ambitious product vision with dependable execution.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess US Persons status and maintain an active U.S. TS Security clearance with SCI Eligibility.

• Experience in building, assessing, or operating coding agents, software engineering agents, code intelligence systems, or agentic developer tools utilizing LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agent2Agent (A2A), and others.

• Proven experience in integrating multiple commercial software products and APIs to ensure interoperability across software engineering workflows. Strong product and market instincts, along with previous experience collaborating directly with users, customers, or mission stakeholders to understand workflows, gather feedback, and deliver improved solutions.

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience, demonstrating strong technical acumen across full-stack systems.

• Exceptional communication abilities, cross-functional leadership, and a sense of project ownership.

• Proficient in:

• Programming in Python, TypeScript, or comparable languages.

• PostgreSQL, or alternative relational databases.

• Software development within AWS or other cloud platforms.

• Willingness to travel for offsite meetings, team synchronization, and customer engagements.
