Product Engineer – Production Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of production software systems from start to finish, addressing operational challenges on the factory floor by designing, building, deploying, and managing the software that resolves them.

• Accountable for entire systems rather than just individual tickets, overseeing issues from identification through deployment and their operational impacts.

• Develop and sustain an internal operational stack that effectively links planning, materials, purchasing, personnel, and factory operations, converting intricate manufacturing workflows into highly dependable and user-friendly software.

• Collaborate closely with factory operators, engineers, and company leadership to ensure that CircuitHub’s factories scale effectively in alignment with growing demand and Grid capabilities.

• Illustrative projects encompass creating production planning tools, designing inventory and materials-flow systems, enhancing factory operator workflows, integrating new automation equipment, leveraging AI to streamline operational processes, and developing software that coordinates tasks among people, robots, and suppliers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including complex queries, performance optimization, and schema design.

• Strong judgment in data modeling and systems design.

• Practical experience in systems integration: connecting APIs, tools, and workflows that perform well in production environments.

• Fundamental software engineering skills with the capability to deliver production systems promptly and reliably.

• Familiarity with manufacturing, ERP/MRP, or operational software, along with an understanding of production planning and materials flow.

• A background in software, automation, or manufacturing engineering.

• Proven experience in maintaining mission-critical operational systems that are fast and dependable.

• Comfort in collaborating closely with operators and production teams on site.

• Previous experience with Haskell is not mandatory. Many engineers transition to us from Python, TypeScript, Rust, Go, or other disciplines and learn Haskell during their tenure.
