Product Engineer Intern, Agent Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of components for the Aedeon agent fleet, including parsers, extractors, dependency mappers, and test synthesizers under the guidance of a senior engineer.

• Acquire knowledge on how agents interact with the Code Intelligence Graph, ensuring that each action corresponds to a specific line of code.

• Gain insights into the various stages of governed autonomy (shadow, supervised, autonomous) and the human-in-the-loop controls present at each phase.

• Observe the team as they manage foundation models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) utilizing the Aedeon Decision Model.

• Engage in the practice of writing tests prior to coding for the smaller functionalities you are responsible for.

• Assist in creating behavior-equivalence checks that compare agent outputs with expected results.

• Contribute to the development of test cases that encompass functional flows and edge cases, undergoing mentor review prior to deployment.

• Gain practical experience with pytest and the team's CI/CD-integrated test suites.

• Write clear and readable Python code and submit pull requests for evaluation.

• Document your work in Confluence or a similar platform with sufficient clarity to enable a teammate to understand it without needing to ask you.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong foundation in Python through personal projects, internships, or academic coursework; no specific years of professional experience required.

• Basic familiarity with APIs and web frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, or similar) is advantageous.

• A genuine interest in LLMs, agent frameworks, and understanding the software verification process prior to release.

• A commitment to developing testing as a habitual practice rather than an afterthought.

• Comfortable with asking questions and receiving feedback regarding code quality.

• Available to work with a reasonable overlap with US business hours.
