This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, services, and systems throughout R2.

• Take ownership of product and solution architecture.

• Ensure adherence to best practices and maintain system uptime.

• Contribute to organization-wide standards and reliability initiatives.

• Deliver mission-critical systems while meeting tight deadlines.

• Enhance the quality of delivered code with a focus on a zero-bug policy.

• Research and invest in new tools to enhance service offerings.

• Incorporate security considerations into all aspects of work.

• Foster a culture of learning, growth, risk-taking, and accountability.

• Collaborate with other teams to develop tools that boost their productivity.

• Over 5 years of engineering experience in building API-driven services.

• A strong desire to code on a daily basis.

• Familiarity with distributed architecture patterns, especially microservices.

• Proficient programming skills in Go, Python, or Java.

• Experience in designing and implementing robust production data models.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and/or Snowflake.

• Proficient with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.

• Bonus: experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures.

• Bonus: practical experience with gRPC, service meshes like Istio or Linkerd, API gateways, and cybersecurity.

• Familiarity with UI technologies such as React, GraphQL, and server-side rendering.

• Experience in building integrations with third-party APIs/services is advantageous.
