This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of product design for projects of small to medium scale.
• Establish the scope, methodology, and timelines for product design initiatives.
• Make informed project-level product design choices based on research findings.
• Provide user-centered, inclusive solutions that align with project goals, business objectives, and experience design strategies.
• Harmonize creativity and innovation with brand consistency, accessibility, and technical limitations.
• Clearly articulate design decisions and their rationale to stakeholders.
• Collaborate across various disciplines to clarify goals, share progress, and manage risks and alignment issues.
• Extract insights from research to inform data-driven design choices.
• Design comprehensive user experiences, information architecture, and prototype outlines from start to finish.
• Adhere to guidelines and standards while contributing to enhancements in consistency, quality, accessibility, and inclusivity.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders to manage expectations, enhance understanding, and influence decisions.
• Assist in program-level design activities as needed.
• Cultivate skills and domain expertise while supporting colleagues through feedback and sharing best practices.
• Proficient understanding of user-centered design principles spanning both UX and UI.
• Solid working knowledge of product design, design systems, and principles of accessible, inclusive design.
• Proven experience in delivering high-quality user flows, interfaces, and prototypes that are informed by and validated through user research.
• A portfolio showcasing engaging, user-centered solutions along with a clear rationale.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently explain design decisions.
• Capability to engage and influence project stakeholders effectively.
• Skills in design thinking, wireframing, interface design, information architecture, prototyping, and handover to engineering.
• Experience in managing and executing product design projects efficiently using Agile methodologies.
• Confidence in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams that include researchers, designers, developers, and product managers.
• A strong desire to learn and enhance product design skills through practical experience.
