This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take ownership of the complete design process across essential product areas — from initial wireframes and flows to refined, production-ready UI.
• Create experiences that minimize friction and foster trust, particularly for users dealing with sensitive clinical information or receiving risk assessments.
• Convert intricate clinical logic, AI results, and data-heavy workflows into clear, user-friendly, human-centered interfaces.
• Contribute to and enhance our design system, ensuring uniformity and scalability across both web and mobile platforms.
• Lead or assist in light user research initiatives — including interviews, usability testing, and workflow observation — with NHS clinicians and patients.
• Gather insights from customer support, customer success, and clinical feedback to consistently enhance the user experience.
• Identify pain points and unmet needs throughout our user journeys and effectively communicate findings to the broader product team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Commercial teams, and Clinical Advisors to deliver well-thought-out, high-quality product experiences.
• Work closely with Customer Success and Support to ensure that product decisions align with real-world clinical implementation requirements.
• Clearly articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders — explaining the rationale behind each choice.
• Collaborate with Marketing on go-to-market materials and patient-facing content where design quality is essential.
• Over 5 years of experience in product design, showcasing a robust portfolio that highlights end-to-end UX/UI work.
• Experience in 0-to-1 product development or early-stage startups.
• Demonstrated ability to streamline complex, information-rich workflows into intuitive, human-centered experiences.
• Background in healthtech, diagnostics, or another regulated or clinical setting.
• Highly skilled in Figma — from early concept prototyping to detailed component-level design system work.
• AI-savvy in your workflow — utilizing AI tools to accelerate processes, iterate swiftly, and focus on impactful decisions rather than repetitive tasks.
• Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms, with a keen eye for visual detail and interaction quality.
• Comfortable navigating both B2B and consumer surfaces, adjusting tone and fidelity according to context.
• Profound empathy for users, particularly those interacting with sensitive or high-stakes information.
• Strong communicator capable of articulating design rationale across various disciplines and standing firm when necessary.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, balancing quality with practicality and speed.
• Nice to Have
• Familiarity with NHS workflows, EHR systems (EMIS, SystmOne), or care pathway design.
• Exposure to DCB0129/DCB0160, MHRA SaMD frameworks, or ISO 13485.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) in regulated or public-sector digital products.
