Product Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Provide legal counsel on various aspects related to product development and user experience, encompassing consumer protection, e-commerce, auto-renewals, dark patterns, disclosures, advertising regulations, and platform-specific requirements (e.g., Apple, Google).

• Collaborate across departments with product managers, designers, marketing, and content teams to deliver clear and actionable legal advice across different product lines and regions.

• Assess and provide guidance on sign-up processes, cancellation procedures, upselling strategies, monetization models, and content utilization.

• Keep abreast of changing global regulations (e.g., FTC, DSA, ROSCA, GPSR, UK DMCCA) and assist in developing product-ready compliance strategies.

• Contribute to the enhancement and scaling of our legal processes, templates, and risk management frameworks in partnership with privacy, content safety, and commercial legal teams.

• Recognize and address legal risks early in the product development stage, while facilitating innovative solutions that support smart growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Licensed attorney (EU or equivalent) with 4-6 years of experience, including some in-house exposure at a technology or digital consumer organization.

• Familiarity with evolving global regulations, particularly with a strong emphasis on the EU and the US.

• Comprehensive understanding of consumer protection legislation, digital products, and regulatory frameworks impacting product design and marketing strategies.

• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and influencing product and marketing decisions on a large scale.

• Proficient in providing practical, risk-balanced legal guidance within tight deadlines.

• Possess a builder’s mentality; thrive in structured environments while navigating ambiguity effectively.

• Prior knowledge of global subscription models, health technology, or wellness products is advantageous.
