Product Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of experimentation by crafting A/B tests, including sample size calculations, power analysis, and significance testing.

• Conduct experiments, analyze results, and identify misleading findings.

• Develop and sustain cohort analyses, retention curves, and conversion funnels.

• Determine the elements that differentiate retained users from those who have churned.

• Examine correlation versus causation in product usage and conversion metrics.

• Establish and monitor a metrics framework that differentiates meaningful signals from vanity metrics.

• Clearly present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate action.

• Utilize AI tools for query generation, data manipulation, and visualization.

• Collaborate closely with C-suite executives and product leadership on decisions related to retention, engagement, conversion, and experimentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in product analytics, data analysis, or a quantitative role at a technology company; experience in startups is highly preferred.

• Strong foundation in statistics, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, Bayesian reasoning, power analysis, and regression, with practical application experience.

• Proven ability to design and analyze A/B tests and other controlled experiments.

• Keen product intuition.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in SQL; familiarity with HogQL and various analytical SQL dialects is important.

• Python skills, specifically with libraries such as pandas, scipy, and statsmodels.

• Experience with PostHog or comparable product analytics platforms like Amplitude or Mixpanel.

• Background in an early-stage startup where analytics were developed from the ground up.

• Ability to work overlapping hours with US PST.

• A Master's degree is not mandatory.
